tiny humans. big feels.

Kids contain multitudes. Usually all at once, usually at full volume. They rarely sit still. They often have mysterious stains on their shirts. They'll be in the middle of an enormous feeling about something you'll never fully understand, and their face will show every bit of it — and that's exactly the face we're after.

Big Feels Photo is a plain white background, no props, no themes, no asking anyone to be different than they are. Just your kid, caught in the middle of being themselves. Which, if you've met them, is already a lot.

About me

My name is Maureen Kornienko, and I have been taking photos of things since high school, with varying results.

Big Feels Photo is both a creative outlet and a way to capture this fleeting thing we call childhood.

How I work

My studio is home-based, with an address provided after booking. Our sessions are all about getting your kid comfortable in the space, exchanging some jokes, blasting music, and generally letting them forget there's a camera pointed at them.

How to prepare

Bring an extra set of clothes and a hairbrush — solids and minimal prints photograph best. Graphic tees or bold prints tend to pull focus from the actual human wearing them. No shoes needed, we shoot barefoot.

Can't wait to meet you
